Alabama pedestrian killed, driver left scene, state troopers said

An Alabama pedestrian was killed this weekend when a driver struck him with a car and left the scene, state troopers said Tuesday.
The single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 3:56 a.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of Troy, Alabama, man.
Roger James Zorn Jr., 31, the pedestrian, was fatally injured when he was struck by a passenger vehicle that left the scene of the crash.
Zorn was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near the 175 mile marker, approximately 4 miles south of Troy, in Pike County.
