An Alabama man was arrested Sunday after police say he stabbed his brother in the face.

Decatur police said they were called to a disturbance on Albert Street SW at approximately 4:33 a.m. Sunday.

Upon their arrival, officers found a male victim with multiple stab wounds to the face.

The initial 911 caller told dispatchers that the suspect had stabbed his brother and was trying to gain access to the residence.

The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined that the victim’s roommate was the primary suspect.

They arrested Jossel Franco, 19, of Decatur and charged him with second-degree assault. He was being held on $30,000 bond at the Morgan County Jail.
