The trial continued Friday for an Alabama man accused of killing three people including a woman and her 7-year-old great-grandson over robberies that netted him $713.
Jimmy O’Neal Spencer, 55, is accused of killing Martha Dell Reliford, 65, Marie Kitchens Martin, 74, and her great-grandson Colton Ryan Lee, 7, during a 2018 crime spree.
At the time of the crimes, Spencer was reportedly homeless, having recently been released from prison.
He reportedly went to Reliford’s house armed with a hatchet, looking for money.
Prosecutors said he killed Reliford and stole $700 from her. They say he then headed to Martin’s house where he killed her and her great-grandson but could only find $13 to steal.
