Charges have been upgraded against two women accused in a New Year’s Eve shooting in Alabama.
Kiya Henderson and Jessica Monique Hall were taken in for questioning Dec. 31 after police responded to a shooting call around 11 p.m. and found David Lamar Green suffering from a gunshot injury, WKRG-TV reported.
The women were later arrested on a charge of first-degree assault. Green later died as a result of his injury, and the charges against the women have been upgraded to murder.
It was not immediately known if either of the women is represented by an attorney who could speak for them.
A clear motive has not yet been determined, but police said Green was known by both women. The case remains under investigation.
