An Alabama woman was killed when she was thrown off her all-terrain vehicle during an accident Sunday.

Anneliese M. Franks, 37, of Calera “was fatally injured when the 700 Yamaha Grizzly all-terrain vehicle (ATV) she was operating left the roadway, causing her to be thrown off,” according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency press release.

Franks was pronounced dead at the scene by Chilton County Coroner Aaron Ellison.

The ALEA stated the accident occurred on County Road 151 in Chilton County around 12:10 a.m.

No further information was available as the Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
