Police arrested an Alabama high school student Wednesday after a school officials became aware of a threat made against another student was circulated on social media.

Enterprise, Alabama, City Schools officials said the student was apprehended by the Enterprise Police Department Thursday morning.

“At the beginning of school this morning, the individual who made the threatening social media post yesterday was apprehended by EPD,” a school representative wrote in a public news release posted on social media. “There is no longer a threat to EHS or any other Enterprise City School. No more information will be released regarding this incident from ECS.”

Enterprise police said a student, who was not identified, was arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat.
