A man on the run after a February 17 fatal shooting in Atlanta has been captured in south Alabama.

The United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force reports the arrest of Atlanta fugitive Andre Thomas.

Andre Thomas was wanted for his role in the Feb. 17 shooting of Cornelius Morgan on Atlanta’s west side.

The 22nd District Covington County Drug Task Force, the Andalusia Police Department, and the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force were able to capture Thomas in Covington County on Friday night, May 14, 2021.  No other details were released.

Andre Thomas is currently in the Covington County Detention Facility awaiting extradition to Atlanta.
