A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with an early morning fatal shooting in northeast Alabama.
Albertville police say they have taken into custody Tevin Hampton, 28, in connection with the death of Amanda Jean Hood, 45, who died of multiple gunshot wounds at an area apartment complex.
Police say they believe the shooting early Thursday morning was as a result of a domestic argument between the two, who had apparently been in a relationship for about two years.
Officers were dispatched about 1 a.m. to Suntrace Apartments on West Main Street after a report of a shooting.
Hampton is expected to be arraigned later today, where bond will be set.
