Money is being raised to help an Alabama woman who recently lost her leg in a freak boating accident.
More than $7,000 has been raised on a GoFundMe page for Nikki Goodman.
The page was started by Goodman’s husband, Tommy Goodman.
Fox 10 News in Mobile reports that the Citronelle couple was involved in a boating accident on May 15 as the two were headed to Gravine Island in Baldwin County.
Part of the boat malfunctioned during the trip. The couple were thrown off the vessel when the boat started spinning out of control.
During the accident, one of Nikki Goodman’s legs was cut off at the knee by the boat’s propellor. A chunk of the other leg was also taken out during the incident.
Tommy Goodman wrote tha the money raised on the GoFundMe page will be used for medical bills, a prosthetic leg and other expenses.
