Alabama man killed when replica 1965 roadster hits utility pole, catches fire, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Thursday when his replica sports car struck a utility pole, flipped over and caught fire, state troopers said Friday.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Danville, Alabama, man.
Jimmy D. Peebles, 67, was fatally injured when the 1965 Replica Roadster he was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole, overturned and caught fire.
Peebles was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Lawrence County 87 near Lawrence County 434, approximately 6 miles east of Moulton, in Lawrence County.
