Man killed on Alabama lake when airboat strikes limb Sunday night, state troopers report

A man was killed Sunday night when the airboat on which he was riding struck a tree limb, Alabama state troopers said.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. Sunday, and claimed the life of a Tennessee man.
Christopher Gray, 43, of Dellrose, Tennessee, a passenger onboard an airboat was fatally injured, while bow fishing when the vessel struck a tree limb.
Gray was thrown into the rear of the boat against the cage surrounding the propeller.
Gray was later pronounced deceased on scene.
The operator, Ty W. Whisenant, 43, of Union Grove was uninjured during the collision.
The crash occurred in Mud Creek on Lake Guntersville in Jackson County.
