An Alabama child who was pulled from a pond Wednesday and rushed to a hospital, has died, a TV station reported.

Police were called at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday to a pond on Eastchase Parkway in Montgomery, Alabama.

One there, first responders discovered the male child had been pulled from the pond by maintenance workers.

Life support measures were administered and the child was transported to a local hospital.

WSFA-TV reported the child died at the hospital.

Details about the boy’s identity and how he wound up in the pond were not immediately clear.
