Alabama woman ejected, killed when SUV runs off road, state troopers say

An Alabama woman was killed Tuesday night when the SUV in which she was a passenger left the road and flipped over, ejecting her, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 9:39 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Parrish, Alabama, woman.
Sherry M. Pike, 50, was fatally injured when the 2004 Ford Expedition that she was a passenger in left the roadway and overturned.
Pike was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected, and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver, Jennifer L. Davis, 49, of Huntsville, was injured and transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, in Jasper.
The crash occurred on Alabama 269 near the 38 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Jasper, in Walker County.
