Two people killed when cars collide head-on and burst into flames, Alabama troopers say

Two people were killed early Saturday after a head-on collision that caused two vehicles to burst into flames, Alabama state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Saturday, and claimed two lives.
Sydni M. Helms, 22, of Jasper, was fatally injured when the 2014 Jeep Wrangler she was driving collided head-on with the 2017 Chrysler 300.
After the initial collision both vehicles caught fire and Helms was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
The driver of the Chrysler was also fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the driver of the Chrysler is unknown and is currently pending notification by Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
The crash occurred on Alabama 91 near the 17 mile marker, approximately eight miles south of Hanceville, in Cullman County.
