A man who was injured in a motorcycle accident on Thursday died at an Alabama hospital on Friday from his injuries, state troopers reported.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Humboldt, Tenn., man.

Gary R. Caraway, 71, was critically injured when the 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating collided head-on with a 2018 Dodge Ram driven by Francisco Catalan, 21, of Huntsville, Alabama.

Caraway was transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on Friday, July 21.

The crash occurred on Alabama 53 near the 331 mile marker, approximately 3 miles north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
