An Alabama mother has been arrested after she gave birth to an infant who tested positive for methamphetamine, investigators said.

Emma McDuff was arrested in Decatur, Alabama, after police say she gave birth to a baby on May 2, who tested positive for methamphetamine.

After police and the county department of human resources investigated the matter, an arrest warrant for McDuff was issued.

She has been charged with chemical endangerment of a child.
