Alabama man, teenager killed when SUV strikes trees, flips over, troopers say

An Alabama man and a teenage passenger were killed late Tuesday night in a wreck after the driver’s SUV struck several trees and flipped over, state troopers report.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the lives of a Dothan man and a 13-year-old juvenile.
Nidal Abdel Hafiz Yunis, 54, was critically injured when the 2021 Lincoln Navigator he was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment, several trees and overturned.
Yunis was transported to an area hospital for medical attention where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The 13-year-old juvenile, who was a passenger in the Lincoln, was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced decease at the scene.
Two other passengers, Arwa Felfel Yunis, 50, and Zeid Nidal Yunis, 20, also of Dothan, were injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 431 near the 47 mile marker, approximately five miles north of Abbeville, in Henry County.
