An Alabama student allegedly was found with a gun on a high school campus Thursday, school officials said.

Lee High School officials said a student was found to have a gun on school grounds early Thursday.

Administrators said the gun was confiscated quickly and the student will face disciplinary consequences per the schools own guidelines.

“We ask families for their support in ensuring students are unable to access weapons of any kind, and please report any suspicious or unusual activity to a teacher or administrator,” school officials said.
