Alabama man killed, two others injured in two-vehicle accident, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Monday when the pickup truck in which he was riding was struck by another motorist and overturned, state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:44 p.m. Monday, and claimed the life of a Centre, Alabama, man.
Joel L. Kiser, 68, was fatally injured when the 1994 Chevrolet 1500 that he was a passenger in, was struck by a 2015 Jeep Wrangler driven by Shellie M. Ingram, 50, of Centre.
After the initial impact, the Chevrolet left the roadway and overturned. Kiser was not using a seat belt at the time of crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Ingram and the driver of the Jeep, David W. Moon, 62, also of Centre, were both injured and transported to Floyd Medical Center, in Rome Ga. for treatment. Moon was not using a seat belt at the time of crash.
The crash occurred on U.S. 411 near Cherokee County 34, approximately six miles north of Centre, in Cherokee County.
