Alabama woman killed when minivan flips over, state troopers say

An Alabama woman was killed Monday when her vehicle struck an embankment and flipped over, state troopers reported.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m. Monday, and claimed the life of a Nauvoo, Alabama, woman.

Autum A. Hargett, 41, was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Sienna she was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.

Hargett was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected, and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 56 mile marker, approximately one mile west of Jasper, in Walker County.
