Three injured when boat burst into flames on Alabama lake, state police say

Three people were injured Sunday when the boat they were riding in burst into flames on an Alabama lake, state police said.
The marine-related event occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. Sunday, and resulted in the injury of three individuals.
Phillip L. McCarn, 39, of Hoover, Alabama, was injured while attempting to crank a 2000 Maxum 19-foot bow rider.
The vessel suddenly burst into flames causing injuries to McCarn and two other passengers on board the vessel at the time.
All three people received medical attention and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred in the Cargile Creek area of Lake Mitchell near Grace’s Marina in Chilton County.
