Nick Saban to retire as the University of Alabama head football coach, reports say

Alabama Head Football Coach and Crimson Tide legend Nick Saban is retiring, multiple sources are reporting.
Saban, 72, reportedly told the team on Wednesday. He just completed his 17th season at Alabama.
He will leave Alabama having tied Paul “Bear” Bryant with six national championship titles for Alabama, though Saban earned one with LSU before joining Alabama.
Saban came to the Tide in 2007. His coaching results are legendary. He’s won 297 wins.
Saban led the Crimson Tide to two undefeated seasons in 2009 and 2020 with nine SEC championship wins.
