An Alabama woman has died after being struck by a car outside a bar last week, local police said.
Hannah Martin was found just before midnight on Saturday outside The Tavern on U.S. 31 in Atmore, Atmore police said.
Atmore Police Sgt. Darrell McMann said officers responded to the bar at approximately 11:50 p.m. Saturday.
McMann said officers found Martin with severe injuries and began CPR.
“Martin was transported to the hospital, and passed away from her injuries,” McMann said. “The vehicle that struck Martin was driven by Kenneth Harrison.”
“Harrison was assaulted by an unknown number of people in the parking lot and was found severely injured. Harrison was transported by helicopter to a trauma center.”
McMann said the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the circumstances surrounding Martin’s death and APD investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding Harrison’s assault.
