An Alabama Chick-fil-A restaurant will mourn the loss of three of its employees tonight after they were killed in a weekend automobile accident, the company said.
The Hoover Chick-fil-A staff announced a candlelight vigil tonight at 7:30 p.m. outside the restaurant where Anna Catherine Meyers, 23, of Hoover; Josiah Louis Phillips, 22, of Birmingham; and Ashley Nicole Michelle Wyatt, 23, of McCalla, worked.
The three were killed Saturday night on McClendon Chapel Road in Jefferson County.
Investigators believe Phillips, who was driving a Honda Civic in which the others were passengers, lost control of the car in a curve and drove into a ravine.
The three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth person was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.
“Although our hearts may never be healed, we come together now to pray, grieve, rejoice and remember,” Chick-fil-A at The Grove workers wrote on social media.
The vigil is scheduled to be between 7:30 and 10 p.m. outside the restaurant, located at 5658 Grove Boulevard.
