Three injured at rap concert inside Birmingham club
The Birmingham Police are investigating an early Sunday morning incident that injured three people after gunfire erupted during a rap concert at a Birmingham club.
According to local news reports, Birmingham police received multiple calls shortly after 2 a.m. reporting a shooting inside the Side Effects club. When officers arrived on the scene, they found one man with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to UAB Hospital’s Trauma Center.
Another person was grazed by a bullet and a third was injured when he or she was struck with a bottle. Details surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. No arrests have been made.
An event called “Hood Affair” was taking place at the club featuring performers 1K, Lil Bam and Fab Boy Poochie.
