Alabama Public Health reported Friday afternoon the state’s cases of COVID-19 coronavirus had topped 600. Three people have died from complications of the virus.

State officials reported 604 cases had been found to date.

Coronavirus cases across the South also continued to rise Friday as private testing capabilities ramped up in many areas.

Here’s a breakdown, by state, from Friday morning (note some states have not updated their numbers since yesterday):

Alabama: 604 positive cases, 3 deaths.
Arkansas: 384 positive cases, 3 deaths.
Florida: 2,757 positive cases, 34 deaths.
Georgia: 2,001 positive cases, 64 deaths.
Louisiana: 2,746 positive cases, 119 deaths.
Mississippi: 579 positive cases, 8 deaths.
Tennessee: 1,203 positives cases, 6 deaths.
Texas: 1,731 positive cases, 23 deaths.

Total cases across the Deep South: 12,005

The number of people infected worldwide surpassed the 586,000 mark. Deaths were more than 26,000, but the number of people considered recovered reached more than 129,000, according to a tally kept by Johns Hopkins University.

The University’s tracking shows approximately 97,000 cases in the U.S., making the U.S. the country with the highest number of cases in the world.

Everyone is warned to take the necessary precautions to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and stay safe and healthy.

These precautions include:

Washing your hands for at least 20 seconds and frequently
Covering your cough or sneeze with your arm
Avoiding touching your face
Routinely clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
Avoiding close contact with others
And staying home if you are sick
