A jury deliberated for less than 20 minutes before finding an Alabama man guilty of murder in a 2017 shooting death.

Mitchell Doster was convicted last week in Dale County in the death of Rickey Dease, the Dothan Eagle reported. Dease was found dead inside his home on Dec. 3, 2017.

A sentencing hearing for Doster was expected to take place in spring 2020.
Doster was also arrested and charged with murder in March 2019 in the shooting death of Orchid Nichole Bolin, 22.

Barbour County Detective Tracy Reese previously told the newspaper that witnesses said Bolin was shot multiple times. Her body was recovered in a wooded area.

No other information about Doster’s murder charge in Barbour County was immediately available, the newspaper reported.

At the time of Bolin’s slaying, Doster was out of jail on bond for charges in Dease’s death.
Doster was also charged with murder in Coffee County in 1998.

He was sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
